While we were out…

Quite a lot seems to have happened while we weren't in a position to comment on it. To recap briefly: over the last week United have extended Garry Monk's loan by another month; appointed a commercial manager, Gary Hooper, a former Luton player; signed Darren Patterson, a centre back from York, a former Luton player; appointed another associate director, Brendan Cross, Managing Director of Spire Telecom and, as far as we know, not a former Luton player (although apparently a former Abingdon Town player; oh yes, Oxford lost at home to Wycombe Wanderers – read a somewhat belated match report here.

Meanwhile Lee Nogan has joined York; Joe Kinnear has taken Luton to two successive victories, leaving United ten points below them; Phil Gray has been called up to play for Northern Ireland against Norway in Belfast in two weeks time; ROS Rob Folland has been included in the Wales under-21 provisional squad, despite David Kemp's incredulity that he was ever offered a professional contract; Les Wells' case for a caution over his alleged right of way will be finally concluded in the High Court tomorrow;
