United achieved a rare draw at the Manor tonight, only their third of the season, after once again going ahead. Darren Patterson scored on his home debut from an excellent Joey Beauchamp free kick in the 7th minute and, for a change, United maintained their lead until half-time. Andy Cooke equalised for the Potters, or whatever they're called, in the 69th minute after Matt Murphy gave the ball away for the umpteenth time in midfield. The only change to the starting line-up from Saturday's game was John Robertson coming in at right back with Jon Richardson moving to the left side of central defence in place of the departed Garry Monk. Paul Tait replaced Chris Hackett with about ten minutes remaining. Robert Quinn was booked. The attendance was 4,856, the third highest in the division tonight.
