Gas bag U's target

The Trinidad & Tobago international on trial at the Manor is named Kerwin Jemmott who plays for Joe Public FC and he is, apparently, a cultured left-footed midfielder. The other player to whom United were intending to offer a trial, Nigel Pierre, a big target man, has been snaffled by Bristol Rovers after United paid his fare over from Trinidad. It appears he was met by an agent at the airport, but United still hold his paperwork and are considering their options. Kerwin 'Hardest' Jemmott is still trying to get over how bloody cold it is in this goddam country.

It's a woman's game

Oxford United Ladies played Bristol Rovers on Sunday – the result will be posted when details are available. In their previous game United went down 1-4 to Newport Strikers, having beaten Southampton WFC 3-1 the previous week. Prior to the Bristol Rovers game United had 14 points from 14 games and were 8th in the 12 team South West Combination League.
