Rushing to Irthlingborough

United visit top of the table Rushden & Diamonds tomorrow, hoping against hope to extend their seven match unbeaten run. Rushden themselves haven't lost for the last eight league games and so both teams will be approaching the match with something akin to confidence.

Oxford will be waiting to see whether midfielders James Hunt and Dean Whitehead, both of whom had to be taken off with injuries in yesterday's humiliation of Bournemouth, will be fit enough to join the squad, but Roy Hunter and Dave Savage will both be waiting if they're unavailable. David Oldfield and Andy Scott can also both do a job in midfield if required, as can Paul Powell and ROS Chris Hackett, neither of whom even made the bench yesterday.

Rushden feature former United target Onandi Lowe up front, but their main strength is in their teamwork, having no players who really stand out. Last season they beat us 2-1, and Rage Online reckons that this year will be no different. If we're wrong, sue us…
