United have expressed an interest in taking QPR's former West Ham defender Keith Rowland on loan, now that Keith Brown has returned to Barnsley. Rowland, 29, a Northern Ireland international, joined Westam from Bournemouth and Joe Kinnear has apparently approached Gerry Francis about his availability, although Kinnear stressed that the move has been mooted but there is nothing more to it than that. Meanwhile Derek Lilley's move to Dundee United still has yet to be finalised, the latest twist being a possible swap deal for Neil Heaney.
