Bulls and Oxes lock horns

Oxford and Hereford fought out a 1-1 draw at Edgar Street tonight. After being outfought and outpossessed for much of the match Ian McGuckin gave United the lead midway into the second half with a header from a Joey Beauchamp corner. The Hereford equaliser beat former swindon 'keeper Jimmy Glass, who was standing in to give Richard Knight a rest. Another player featuring for United was central defender Steve Davis (remember him) whom Smith is considering bringing back as a replacement for Mark Watson. Lee Jarman came on as a second half substitute to replace United's man of the match Paul Tait and he did a better job in midfield than he had done in previous games in defence. If you were at the game and would like to pen a match report for Rage Online, please send it to reports@rageonline.co.uk.The goalkeeper who United have on trial, and for whom the club is still seeking international clearance, has been revealed as 31 year old Canadian Hubert Busby. Ontario born Busby is 6'4″ and has played for Dutch club Telstar as well as Montreal Impact and Toronto Lynx.

Meanwhile Eddie Newton, who did so well for Oxford at the end of last season, has been training with the U's. Don't get too excited, Denis Smith has said that he has not got enough money to sign him.

Grecian Arjan

Former United goalie Arjan Van Heusden has been signed by Exeter City after being released by Cambridge.
