Reserves don't lose shock

United's reserves this evening drew 2-2 with Wycombe reserves. Goals from Jamie Cook and Peter Fear earned the U's a valuable point, which the club will be seeking to transfer to the first team.

Random gratuitous rumour time

It's been a while since we've done one of these so now seems as good a time as any to whet your tastebuds with a flavoursome piece of totally unfounded gossip. Word is that United are trying to bring in young Arsenal striker Graeme Barratt on a two month loan. Why this might have more credence than other rumours which we've decided were too far-fetched to be reported is because of chairman Firoz Kassam's Gooner connections (he was an Arsenal supporter before taking over United) and also, of course, because of United's well-documented problems up front. Only time will tell how accurate this turns out to be.
