Reading visit the Manor tomorrow evening for the last time. The visitors currently occupy second place in Division Two on goal difference from Rotherham, whom United beat when they were recently top. This being a local derby the league positions shouldn't count for too much, but Reading will still most probably win.
United should have no new injury worries after the Wigan game, but even if Paul Tait, Robert Quinn or Manny Omoyinmi have regained fitness it is doubtful that David Kemp will make changes to Saturday's starting line-up. The only change might be to bring in Paul Powell for Joey Beauchamp should Powell have recovered from his illness, but Joey's form at the JJB should have ensured his name on the team sheet (although with Kemp one never knows).
There promises to be a good atmosphere for the penultimate evening fixture at the Manor, with a full away end and twice as many home supporters. Despite this, and despite what victory would mean to United fans, Rage Online anticipates a 2-1 victory to the away side.
Swansea lost 1-0 at Port Vale and Luton went down 3-1 at Wrexham. The other team occupying a relegation spot, Bristol Rovers, also lost 1-0 at Oldham. All is not lost though, as Wycombe won 2-1 at Bristol City and, best of all, swindon lost 2-1 at home to Notts County.
All this means that Swansea are relegated should they drop another point or should swindon and Cambridge pick up another point. Luton are now ten points from safety with only fifteen available. Bristol Rovers are three points behind swindon and Cambridge and have two games in hand on the Wiltsmen. Wycombe are now five points above the drop zone and Colchester a further point ahead.
