Oxford United's reserves lost 4-1 at Leyton Orient this afternoon. United fielded a very young side with Mickey Lewis the only pensioner and Rob Folland the only other player with a decent amount of first team experience. Chris Hackett scored United's consolation goal when the score was already 4-0.
Derby's fourth choice goalkeeper Richard Knight has had his Manor loan spell extended until the end of the season as Andre Arendse's injury will almost certainly keep him out of action that long. Denis Smith has been so pleased with Knight's performances that he said that even if both Arendse and Pål Lundin were fit he'd still want Knight to stay. Good old Jim Smith was very accommodating about the arrangement, blessim.
