U's CEO Mark Ashton has revealed this morning that United today expect to finalise the loan signing of
Wolves' young forward Jordan Graham, 20. Graham was signed by Wolves in January 2015 from Aston Villa
and has had loan spells at both Bradford City and Ipswich Town.

More specifically, can he score when he takes penalties?

As Roberts can't even get 5 minutes when we can't score I don't imagine this will improve his chances.
Appleton is really proving stubbon over his refusal to give him a chance, I really don't understand it.

Here we go again .. recruitment fails, so bring in a succession of short term loans while ignoring young local talent ...

Or indeed score goals from open play? We're not much better at that either at the moment.
As Slappy says, if COD is on international duty again then it's a good idea to get some cover in that position, especially with Macdonald not doing the business on the other flank. Funny isn't it - when we signed MacD from Burton last season we wondered what they were playing at, with him being their top scorer and all. It seemed a bit of a coup for us. Now that they're top of League 1 and he's dropped out of our starting line-up you have to conclude that maybe Hasselbaink knew what he was doing...

Anyone know what the real story is with Roberts? Unless I've missed anything all MApp's said is that he was grumpy/angry when he came back for pre-season, but that he'd sorted himself out since.
I struggle to believe that's the full story, given Roberts was always a very dangerous player when he played last season, whereas Taylor and Hoban have contributed very little all season in the way of goals, or all round play IMO.

Elsewhere, I have seen Graham described as a winger. So what is this about? Yet another person to deliver crosses that the strikers fail to convert?
Last Saturday on RadOx, Appleton said that Roberts' attitude had got a lot better in the last three weeks. Given the failure of everybody else to score, either he plays at some point tomorrow and/or Saturday or his future at the club will surely have to be seriously questioned.

The U's have confirmed the loan signing of talented winger Jordan Graham.
United now has two Jordan Graham's on its books (apparently).

Nice one Werthers - can you now please start a thread about how Hoban and Roberts won't score this season

A nice early Christmas present for the U's as Jordan Graham extends his loan
until December 28th.
Jordan signed an 18 month contract with Wolves in January 2015
so his contract will expire at the end of the current season.

Injury hit U's sign giant striker George Waring on an emergency 28 day loan from Stoke City.
Waring, 21, is a product of Everton's youth academy and had a successful spell
on loan at Barnsley last season scoring six goals.

Interesting. Though not a huge vote of confidence in the forwards we only recently signed. Suspect I might get to see a bit of him tonight...
