UE: A rebellious young player. with a dream is to play for his country, plays by his own rules, much to the disapproval of the club. After running on the pitch with a set of bowls he is subsequently banned from competing in the sport for fifteen years by the head of the local lawn bowls association. The team, however, make a remarkable comeback thanks to experience and extravagance, while Torquay also bend the rules to the disbelief of some aussies in the crowd.

Boris devotes the whole of the programme to a paean of praise to Lee Mansell and appears dressed only in a rough hessian cloak, chastising himself with wire for his earlier doubts. A rousing team talk and reorganisation from Lord Wilder transforms the game and we dominate the second half. Turkey are unable to cope with our slick throw in routines and the stream of accurate crosses, falling like arrows on the French at Agincourt.
