If we do go under and reform under a new name, should we have a new nickname? I've never really liked 'The U's'

The obvious ones I suppose are 'The Yellows' or 'The Ox' , any other suggestions?

I've always thought it should be &quotThe 'Ford&quot (apostrophe optional)

Simple but unique among professional clubs

Which actually makes me wonder what is the most common nickname amongst professional clubs/Top 5 divisions ?

I would imagine the Robins and the U's would be at the top

The Yellow Oxes?
The Oxy Morons?
The The?

Or, in keeping with Mooro's theme:
The Ford Fiasco

Given where the club started from and where it appears to be going, perhaps we should be known as The Villagers.

Most common nickname is probably &quotThe Reds&quot, isn't it?

Trouble is, Oxford doesn't really have a traditional industry, other than the one that people don't like associating with the club, because football is 'Town'. The 'Carmakers' maybe.

If this is to be the new nickname, can we use a track by 'The The' as our run-out theme? I would suggest 'the sinking feeling' would be apt.

Alternatively we could use The Who, and run out to Won't Get Fooled Again.

I was thinking of the Beaten Generation.

I suppose we could have 'True Happiness This Way Lies'

'Sometimes it seems, the more I ask for, the less I receive' is pretty much how it is being an Oxford fan.

I think we should run out to 'Always look on the bright side of life'.

Half Men Half Donkeys?

Lots of potential songs for the entrance there.
