I wonder if the Oxford Channel could negotiate rights to show Conference South games?

I emailed Sky to ask them about the Marolw game ... here's the reply ...

Thanks for your email to Sky with regard to programming information.

I regret that due to time constraints I am unable to assist with your enquiry.

Thanks once again for taking the time to contact Sky.

Kind regards

... too busy counting the 45 quid a month that some people pay just to watch that crap on Monday night I assume ?

Okay, the page has now been updated to reflect all the replies on this thread.

Is that now the definitive list? I can't help think that there might be some earlier games (late 80s/early 90s) that are missing. If anyone knows (or suspects - I can easily check) of any games that should be listed, please let me know.

You could do a database search for Sunday or Monday games - these would probably be good candidates!

I'll have a look through my collection, as I've got most of the matches that have been broadcast.

I've found one more in my collection

6/9/98 Oxford v Portsmouth

Also, I have the QPR match down in several independant places as 12/12/97, not 13/12/97

The 25/1/99 match v Chelsea, there is also a separate extended highlights programme from Match Of the Day.

I also have a home match v Derby, which may or may not be the same one in your list. I'll check when I get a chance.

Are you going to do a list of official match videos as well?

Thanks GY. I've confirmed both the Pompey match, and the date of the QPR game as the 12th.

Not interested in extended highlights, nor in the video thang. That sounds like something that should appear on MemorOx, really.

The QPR match was on a Friday night as I keep on telling anyone who might be vaguely interested I watched it in the Sports Bar in Fareham with Matt Elliott and Neil Lennon who were playing for Leicester away to Saints the next day.

Two more to add to the list now. Halifax away switched to Wednesday 21st March and then Dagenham at home switched to Monday 26th March both on Sky.

What's the betting that Halifax will now see the lowest Oxford United away attendance ever. Firstly we've played them away already, secondly its on a Wednesday night, thirdly you can watch it at home or down the pub and fourthly its a long way away.

What I meant was the lowest travelling support rather than the lowest total attendance for an away game. I bet 175 of the crowd at Lovell's Athletic were from Oxford anyway.

I'll qualify it even further - the lowest travelling support for a competitive Oxford United away game since we first joined the Football League (there were probably a few low attendances back in the 1890's).
