All kinds of pictures are flashing through my mind of farmers with pitchforks, redundant Rover workers and students up for a bit of a larf all stood in a line blocking the M40 at Stokenchurch and Banbury....
...not forgetting the regular border patrols on the A420
My dream of the Independent Socialist Republic of Oxfordshire edges ever closer...

Got to be the place to be now en it ? Boris, will you be able to take over the 'Match threads' I'm gonna miss them on tiu

If people want to start match threads on here that's fine by me. No permission required. There's also the option of the
Rage Online Matchday Chat Room, which can sometimes be fun.

Scunthorpe.
For some reason that felt really good!
I'm happy for my spelling and punctuation to be analyised (should that be a 'z'?), self improvement being my middle name and all that.

I'm on all 3 forums and Yellows Forum has REALLY picked up. Plus I checked the members and its basically TiU without Moobs.
Sorry for promoting another forum btw.
sCUNThorpe.

No 'z' and a superfluous 'i'.
As for the previous "should I resist a whoosh?" that was from the conference forum and we're above all that now - literally.

Just a thought boris.
Would it be a good idea to start up another board called TIU? the idea has a lot going for it inclusivity, exclusivity, and not overworking the comma police.
I even included the Oxford comma just for you.

Hello All,
I've Been a long time Lurker here but have decided to register because of the apparent demise of TIU. From what i've been able to gather - it's been given a facelift, but the inevitable gremlins have caused admin to pull the plug, is that correct?
If anyone could enlighten me then that would be great.
Regards

They haven't pulled the plug yet
They are doing that on August 2nd. However I think they got all pissed off because we were talking about which forums to go onto.
I've gone onto all 3 atm and the Yellows one is probably BETTER than TiU in my opinion.
I think i'm the only one to post on the OxVox one.

they are the links for the other 2.

The only way to tell which will be best is to see where most posters end up. My concern is that the users from a pretty busy board will be split between various boards and none of which will be that good.
I do recognise some of the posters here and the layout is good. However still early days and the traffic is a bit light. Also the categories while fine for light traffic are not as well designed for a heavier load (it will end up with one category used for 90% of posts and if busy threads would disappear off the screen pretty quick).
Overall it is a very sad decision that Oxford mail have made. TiU despite its many faults was a lively and bust place. With us now fractured all over the place I just hope we manage to come back together and create one place that is as good or better.

This is all getting a bit post-modern for me. Roll on the start of the season.
