Christ that'll sell papers! If anything the reality check about how bad we've down in recent years came from seeing Readings first two fixtures. Does anyone know what date the conference games are announced? Couldn't see it after briefly scanning oufc and conference webites, and seemingly Jon Murray is as lazy as me
Re: Excellent article by Murray in Mail today
I thought that, but didn't think it worth saying, but if JM can risk being that controversial and cutting then so can I.
I'm not sure there is a definate date for the Conference fixtures to come out, as it seems to be a somewhat more casual affair (not least due to on-going issues regarding which clubs are playing in which league).
I thought the reality check happened last season (or is it going to happen every season we're down here, for the next umpteen years?)
Latest 'news' on the fixtures comes from the Exeter Express and Echo, which suggests that they may be further delayed (just like last season). Probably as a result of the uncertainty about Crawley's situation (CVA still not settled, only 6 squad members with the deadline having past for current players to sign new contracts, Steve Evans in charge, Majeeds still in charge, etc)

Yes, but come on, they don't pay him .... do they?
Re:
I was sat in a pub in Reading at lunch time with a Reading season ticket holder (one who was there before thery hit the big time, before anyone asks) and he mentioned Chelsea and Man Utd. I piped up, it'll probably be Histon & Farsley Celtic for us. No point ignoring the reality."Operation Boarhunt" wrote:Christ that'll sell papers! But who'll be the happier if we top the league (and stay there) and Reading do their best to beat Sunderland's record low?

I suspect we'll be treated to a lengthy interview with Mr Christian along the lines of how bad it was under Kassam, how much better it is under Smith, how disappointed he/the squad were at missing out on promotion/letting the fans down, how he loves the club and would have loved the chance to help right the wrong and gain promotion next year, but understands the reasons why he had to leave and just wanted to thank the fans...etc...etc"neilw" wrote:http://www.thisisunited.co. ... sp?id=2365
