Kitted out

Post by GodalmingYellow »

Quite like the new home shirt. Might even buy one this year, even though they only supply in girls' sizes.

But the shorts? We are the boys in yellow and errr... yellow or so it seems.

New away kit isn't to my taste at all. Horrible shade of insipd blue.

I quite like them, I don't think it's a bad idea to have an all yellow kit as a one off, although I think there might have been more a demand for it last season after the yellow and blue shirt. The away's ok, but for a team that plays in yellow you'd think that we'd go for a more subtle colour as an away shirt (eg last year's navy), because of the replica market.

Well I like both new kits !

It's not often i've said that. Will probably buy the new home shirt
after not buying last season's.

I think the new home shirt will look good with jeans for a casual look.

I seem to recall that last season we were entitled to a discount on shirts if you produced a voucher from your season ticket. Is this going to be the same this year? and if so, why have we not got our season tickets yet? Was it to ensure that those people attending the Open Day couldn't enjoy their discount?

I quite like the new look. Particularly pleased that we have a shirt with a proper collar for the first time since the Unipart days.

Quick question for those who've already bought one - does the collar stick up if you want it to (a la Cantona), or is it 'soft' and floppy (fnaar, fnaar)? If it's the former, I'll probably treat myself to a new shirt for the first time in yonks.

Last season you could get a discount by producing a voucher from your season ticket, you did not have to buy a shirt to get the discount you could buy whatever you wanted
and whatever the cost was a believe you received a 10% discount.

Who decides what kit we're going to have?
Finally we get a home shirt that I like, but the rest...
Even Dubes has publicly denounced the banana look with the yellow shorts.
It seems so straightforward for home games we play in yellow/blue/blue.
In case there is a clash away we have alternative blue/yellow/yellow shirt/shorts/socks, and combine them so the shades don't match the home side.
And it's NAVY blue!
Please someone get the message through to those in a position of influence and get it sorted for next time, and surely it's not too late to change the shorts and socks for this season...
Bring back the black away shirt!

Really? I thought that was the one kit in the prem this year that's really garish and ugly. Newcastle's (money grabbing)* 3rd kit is similar and Southampton controversially won't play in (proper) stripes. (Not a dig specifically at NUFC but at 3rd kits in general)*.
