Asa Hall

Post by Boogie »

I was wrong.

Well done to Chris Wilder who stuck with him and said we had yet to see the best of Asa.

Hopefully, I will see it with my own eyes on Saturday.

Serious query as I have not seen enough of the recent games to draw my own conclusion - has Hall's overall play improved a lot or has he simply found an incredibly useful scoring touch?

Rhys Day draws with him! I am sure someone will trawl through the RO Player database ... who has the longest name?

I think that it would be fair to say tat his general play has improved and he clearly looks full of confidence.

He had a very good scoring record for Luton in League 2 and in his first season here could have scored a lot more (hit the post/ crossbar, great saves etc).

Like Boogie I must admit that I was wrong as I rated Heslop and Payne above Hall and thought that he was gone in the summer. A midfielder who can win games through goals is like golddust.

I'll start with Steve Anthrobus.

Bound to be loads longer than that.

Edit:- Simon Weatherstone for a start.

Doudou could be in line for shortest but also the longest if you use his full name (which he doesn't seem to) of Ebeli Mbombo Doudou. Although, are we allowed middle names or only hyphenated surnames?!

I wonder if his real name is Edward Odhiambo-Anaclet?

Gonna be a struggle to beat that I reckon.

You can add hero-at-Tranmere-but-otherwise-useless goalie Paul Kee to the seven-lettered list
