And we have a striker...

Post by deanwindass »

Steve MacLean (a striker) has signed on a month's loan. I've never heard of him but he's got good pedigree according to wiki.

A creative striker with awesome stamina I'm told. :-)

5 in 15 starts for Aberdeen in the second half of last season, including 2 against Celtic.

Just asking, but...

Where will he fit in?
Who'll no longer fit in?
I feel we need a big strong physical striker who can hold the ball up and win it in the air.
Swiss says he is a creative striker - is this guy what we need?
How should we describe Craddock?

Actually, can't wait to see MacLean play on Saturday.

He was, and hopefully still is, a top class act. injury problems I think in the last couple of years. Really promising signing.

I remember MacLean netting regulalry for Scunthorpe.

He seemed very adept at finding the bottom corners - a cool finisher
but I was expecting a presence up front who could head a ball and link up play.

I am happy though with this loan deal. We look to have done some good business this week.

Roll on Saturday !

Me too.
If that had happened I was would have expected Craddock to then start scoring on a regular basis.

As it is I just don't know.

Perhaps we'll play Futcher as half a centre half and half a centre forward.
