It's up to Stadco to do this, rather than the club, surely."Snake" wrote:WPL have seen some financial sense at last.
Well done Mr Lenagan (and it's not often I say that).
Game on..

Yes, they should pay up."GodalmingYellow" wrote: It's up to Stadco to do this, rather than the club, surely.
And someone needs to ensure that sprinklers do not come on and give the pitch and underside of the covers a darned good soaking.
Re:
Depends on the terms of the lease, surely? I've lived in rented houses where the lease stipulates that the landlord retains responsibility for the maintenance of the "grounds" (she used to come round every other Sunday to mow the lawn and weed the borders), and I've also lived in rented houses where it's all been the responsibility of the tenants (it meant the garden was a bit of an urban wasteland, but at least we didn't have the property-owning hag nosing about every other week)."SmileyMan" wrote:If you rent a house, you mow the lawn.

If you rent out a house promising to keep it habitable, you do the maintenance."SmileyMan" wrote:If you rent a house, you mow the lawn.

Well done OUFC. The Boxing Day debacle should never have happened. I don't believe blame has ever been officially apportioned, but it did at least seem to fall on the part-time nature of University ground-keeping.
With this purchase OUFC have shown they've learnt and taken responsibility for getting the next four home matches played. Can you imagine how long it would have taken to argue the toss with StadCo about who should have paid?

I agree the club are right to sort it out and argue the toss with Stadco later. But Stadco should be paying. Whether they will weasle out of it is another matter."YellowHoods" wrote:Well done OUFC. Or FK been not in Monaco, or IL not been in Wigan."scooter" wrote:Makes me wonder what would have happened had KT been in the Country in the run up to Boxing Day.
But hey, we were there, and still are...
