Grenoble Farm
IL: How did it go in Cumbria tonight? Can we expect a nice six figure cheque in early January, even if we lose away to Sunderland?
KT’s mobile ansaphone: I’m sorry, but I’m away from my ‘phone right now so please leave a message.

IL: Kelvin where are you - please call me, I've just recieved a call from a hotel in Barrow asking where the team are - I thought I said they could have a overnight the night before, why the fuck am I forking out for two nights when we haven't got a game till Sat?
Re:
IL: Thank you Kelvin, I agreed an overnight stay before the match, I did not sign off a overnight stay after the match, especially when they failed to get a win against Barrow. I note Man Utd flew back from Germany after their game."slappy" wrote:KT: Sorry Ian, but this was an FA Cup match with your football team. Accordingly, the team had a long trip from Oxford and not a short journey from Wigan. They are therefore due a travel and overnight stay allowance.

IL: I thought we were knocked out of the FA Cup/Trophy/Vase thing so we weren't playing on Saturday? So who won the replay between Hayes and Yeading - Which one have we got?
Oh and another thing Kelvin I'm glad you agreed to not increase the squad as we discussed but I've just been looking over the books and aren't we paying the new ticket office staff - Sodje and Green if I remember correctly - a bit much for their role?

KT : Hello.
IL : Hi Kelvin, sorry to bother you but I need a bit of serious advice.
KT : Sure, no problem. Fire away, Ian.
IL : It’s kind of personal.
KT : That’s ok by me.
IL : I’m a bit stuck about what to get my partner this Christmas, and with you being a sort of mate I came up with the bright idea of asking you what to get for her.
KT : Well, you could always just pop into the nearest jewellery shop and get her an expensive trinket.
IL : Yes, I did have that on my emergency list but I do employ you to come up with better ideas than that.
KT : According to my contract there is nothing in there that says anything along those lines. It’s nearly Christmas Eve and we’re quite busy down here in Oxfordshire right now selling and promoting the Diamonds game.
< long and uncomfortable pause >
IL : I cannot believe that I pay you this much money and I get that sort of response when I’m in a bit of a hole.
KT : Fine by me if you can get better value for money in terms of who runs OUFC but if you’re desperate for ideas then I suggest you buy this for her. Night night.

IL : Hi Kelvin. Sorry to bother you over the festive period but can you get back to me about how much money we made today at Oxford? I hope the team not only won but played well so that my fans are happy. Just a quick reply would be fine as I’ve not had a catch up today on OUFC issues due to family and Wigan and stuff. I’m sure you’ll understand. Speak soon and all that. Cheers.

Fledgling? It's been going on for years and was the first ever posting on this forum:"kuriaki" wrote:Snake
IL was at the Barrow game. Sitting next to KT. He was also at the Hayes & Yeading game.
But other than these rather glaring oversights, your fledgling satire is really quite amusing.
When's the next episode?

Incidentally, the Grenoble Farm soap also ran for years on the MemorOx forum before we all moved over here when, err, an incident happened and it had to close down. In fact I seem to recall the very first episode being broadcast on Mzuri, and that’s really going back a bit!
As for the next instalment, then who knows…
p.s. Hello Kelvin. It would be interesting if you were to post on here now and again rather than just do your lurking stuff, but I do understand why you really can't take that kind of risk.

Grenoble Farm = pointless. Your input to the club, (which was considerable), died with FOUL.
