Central defender signed from Huddersfield Town at the start of the January 2009 transfer window. Although injured in the game at Crawley Town, Oxford extended his deal until the end of the season on a contract, after he was released by The Terriers, and offered him a new contract for the following season. He joined AFC Telford on loan at the start of the 2009-10 season, with the move being made permanent at the start of November 2009.
